Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-16. By using StatementLens you agree to these terms.
What the service is
StatementLens is a free tool that reads statement files you choose, in your own browser, and arranges the rows you approve into totals. It does not connect to banks, move money or store your data.
Not advice
The totals, categories and candidates are arithmetic and simple keyword rules applied to your rows. They are not financial, investment, tax, credit or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for your official statements. For decisions that matter, rely on the documents issued by your bank or card provider and, where needed, a qualified professional.
Accuracy and file support
We work to make the tool accurate and the tests cover many common file formats, but bank files vary and we cannot promise that every CSV or PDF will be read, or read correctly. That is why the review step exists: check the rows, the skipped lines and, where available, the balance checks before relying on any total.
Acceptable use
Use the tool only with files you are entitled to view. Do not attempt to disrupt the site or its hosting.
Liability
The service is provided free of charge and as it is. To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, we are not liable for losses arising from decisions made using its output. This does not apply to loss caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or to any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.
Changes
We may update the tool and these terms. The date above shows the latest version.
